Sony RM-AV2 best price

Sony RM-AV2

I want to introduce Sony RM-AV2 provided by Sony.

I wish I had known about this accessory 18 months ago when I purchased my Sony NEX VG-20 video camera. Everything I read about remote controls was that a wired remote required a LANC connection which the VG-20 does not have. It was not at all clear to me what was the utility of the "A/V R" receptacle on the side of the camera. Anyway, somehow I recently became aware of this item and read somewhere that it had been used with a VG-20. So for such a small investment I figured it was worth a try. It arrived today, I clipped in on my tripod head pan bar, plugged it into the camera and it worked! I can now start and stop recording and take photos and turn the camera on and off without taking my right hand off the pan bar. This is a HUGE benefit when filming wildlife, especially birds that often give only a brief opportunity for filming. My left hand can stay dedicated to lens activities such as focus and zoom, as well as exposure adjustments, and my right hand can do double duty in panning/aiming the camera and starting/stopping record at the same time. I don't have to move my right hand from the pan bar to start filming, often losing my subject in the process. This saves me precious seconds. Because nether my Sony 18-200mm or Sigma 150-500 lenses are powered zooms, the zoom button on this remote serves no purpose at the moment but that is to be expected. Just start/stop will keep me happy!
